Libby gets a new home!

                       Spotlight

Libby has been adopted!  She is now living in eastern Washington on 300 acres, with 18 other horses.  The couple who adopted her were looking for a special needs horse  - and she is that, emotionally.  We are thrilled that Libby has found a home where they will have the patience to rebuild her trust in humans.

Seeking new Board Members.  FTH is looking for individuals willing to donate their time and effort. If you are interested in helping us grow and would like to be an active Board member, please contact us at president@forthehorse.net

Latest Rescue

This is Leo.  He was rescued in late May.  He has bad stifles and drags his right hind foot.  He is only 2.  His story is very sad and he will only be with us a short while.  He has only known cruelty from humans and has never known the companionship of other horses, as he has lived in a stall his entire life.  We are letting him enjoy the summer just being a horse.  He is now part of the herd and is learning that life can be good.  Leo will be euthanized this fall.

Update on Rainmaker

Rainmaker turned 9 months old on June 13.  She is doing well and it's becoming clear that she's looking to Huey and Lucy as herd leaders for how to behave.  That is good news as both Huey and Lucy both love people.  Rainmaker gets more friendly every day!
